Nestled on the edge of Richmond, Virginia, Montrose Recording is owned and operated by mixer/producer/engineer Adrian Olsen and studio manager Alexandra Spalding. Montrose Recording has become a favorite among locals and a destination recording and mixing spot for many around the globe. The studio offers analog tape recording as well as Pro Tools HD, all wired into a rare 1968 Flickinger console once belonging to Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse), and originally commissioned for Paragon Studios in Chicago.

Montrose Recording is a residential studio offering adjacent accommodations in a retreat like environment. Just twelve minutes north of the city center, the studio and studio guest house share a fifteen acre footprint with the oldest two story house in the area, and backs up to two hundred acres of neighboring forest.
